After dropping a massive dumbell on my big toe it has became infected and wont stop seeping blood and pus. Its more than two weeks now since the incident. I really did take my toe for granted. A very similar thing happened to my friend last year. She trying to bunk her beds in her dorm and her roomate dropped it on my friends toe. Her toe looked awful black and blue. It was gross. After a few weeks though the toenail did fall off. I have a feeling yours will do the same. Don't worry though hers has grown back and looks completely normal. She also said that it felt alot better after it finally did fall off.

If not properly treated, it COULD fall off! That infection could get more serious and turn into gangrene (the toe dies). In that case it would have to be cut off.
If the infection spreads it could effect the bone or even the whole leg. Same story -- if it gets too bad they will cut off the leg.
If you are already seeing a doctor, follow his orders. if you are trying to treat this yourself, you need to go to the Emergency Room.
Don't stress yourself out too bad. What usually happens is your toenail will turn black and blue and stay like that for about a month or maybe a little longer. After sometime the nail will eventually fall off, but do not panic because it will grow back. My fiance is in construction and does this constantly to his hands. It does look gross but with time it will heal.
something similer happend to me give it time and let it fall of by itself do not pick at it or touch it with dirty hands it will hurt sometimes but the only thing you can do is wait for it to fall off and heal by itself it shouldnt infect the bone if you keep it clean
Yer ive had that, it will cure, just keep the nail from rubbing on the skin, it cleared up in a month or 2

Am I hitting the nail on the head or is it my imagination - what should I do?
My b/f was somewhat drunk a few weeks ago and started telling about his friend's new gal. His friend brought her to a golf tournament and my b/f told me how good looking she was (too good looking for his friend he said) and went on to add while he(my b/f) was on the course he watched her and there were several guys talking to her and how good she looked. I got pissed but kept my lip zipped. Then a week or two later he started on her again and apparently him and some friends had been at a club talking about her. Then days later he was drinking and went on to tell me again how good looking she is and the story of her divorce, he knows where she lives the whole nine yards. Again he was drinking the other nite and went on to tell me Jack brought photos of her to the golf course and she was ';looking good';. Now should I let this go, sit up pay attention and watch to see what is going on or what. Do you think first chance my b/f will be after her. i think that's pretty nervy for him to keep commenting about the girl's looks. it seems that he only does it when he's drunk, which may mean that he just might think she's a good looking gal, and nothing more. however, if it is really bothering you, speak up. say something casual like, ';man, you think about that girl a lot!'; or ';she seems to be one of your favorite conversation topics.'; then it's not threatening, and you bring up the fact that it is clearly bothering you. don't let him tell you how YOU feel. if he deals with it by saying that you're overreacting, then he's a tool because in reality, he should be apologizing for upsetting you. a nice guy will admit that he didn't realize it bothered you, stop the bad behavior, and move forward. if he's a douche, then he'll be a jerk about the whole thing and turn the conversation against you. so, i would casually bring up the fact that it bothers you and see how he reacts. good luck! :)

Then talk to him, and give him an ultimatum. Say Im comitted to you, but if you are out to betray our relationship - you arent in it. No other woman sleeps in my bed - I am not getting her diseases, nor am I sharing my man, or the heart of my man.
If he is dumb enough to pursue her, then .. you dont have to keep him.

I got bit by a dog and it chipped the bottom of my nail.. wondering when my nail will come back?

Try putting on the first coat lightly and let it dry...then do a second coat let it dry then put a clear top coat and let it dry then spray with a finish spray dryer

sounds like you busted a blood vessel in the process soak that toe in some epson salt, if the wound is still open squeze the toe and see if any pus or purple blood comes out, fluctiate the water from hot to cold.

I received this amazing wall decorative blanket/gift.How do I hang it w/out putting nail holes/tac in it?
I received this 40 year old hand made blanket as a gift. The blanket was hand made in Peru and it is amazing. I don't want to sleep w/ it, it is a piece of art. I want to hang it on the wall as a display, however, I don't know how to hang it w/out putting nail/tac holes in the blanket. I surely do not want to do that. Any ideas? You can purchase quilt hangers, or you could make your own!
It's not difficult, all you need are some simple tools, and a little imagination.
lay a piece of wood (suitable size to overlap the width of the blanket about 2 inches on either side) on the floor, and place the edge of the blanket over it (allow the blanket to overlap a little) then place another piece of wood (same size) on TOP of the first peice. With screws long enough to enter the top peice of wood (but not so long as they stick out the other side of the bottom piece) attach the pieces together. Put the screws into the end of the wood where you allowed it to overlap.
Tighten as tightly as possible, and there you go! Attach picture frame wire to each end of the wooden 'hanger', and mount to the wall.
might take you a few minutes, but you could use decorative wood, and personalize the hanger to accentuate the blanket!
